तस्मात् स्नातः शुचिर्भूत्वा देवर्
5षिपितृतर्पणम् ।
प्रजापतेस्तथैवादिभः काले कुर्यात् समाहितः ॥
tasmāt snātaḥ śucir bhūtvā devarṣipitṛtarpaṇam | prajāpatestathaivādibhyaḥ kāle kuryāt samāhitaḥ ||
Oleh itu, setelah mandi dan menjadi suci, pada waktu yang tepat dan dengan minda yang terhimpun, hendaklah seseorang melakukan tarpaṇa (libasi) kepada para dewa, para resi dan para leluhur—demikian juga kepada Prajāpati dan yang lain yang berhak menerimanya.
