Adhyaya 24 — Kuvalayashva’s Refusal of Gifts and the Vision of Madalasa’s Maya
ततः प्रहृष्टः प्रतिलभ्य कान्तां प्रणम्य नागं निजगाम सोऽथ ।
सुशोभमानः स्वपुरं तमश्वम् आरुह्य संचितितमभ्युपतेम् ॥
tataḥ prahṛṣṭaḥ pratilabhya kāntāṃ praṇamya nāgaṃ nijagāma so ’tha |
suśobhamānaḥ svapuraṃ tam aśvam āruhya saṃcintitam abhyupatem ||
Kemudian, dengan gembira kerana memperoleh kembali kekasihnya, dia menunduk hormat kepada Nāga lalu pulang. Dengan sinar yang cemerlang, dia menaiki kuda itu dan pergi ke kotanya sendiri, bertekad pada apa yang telah diputuskan.
