sa somo mānaso jajñe tasyāmatreḥ prajāpateḥ |

putraḥ samastasattvānāmāyurādhāra eva ca ||

Translation

Soma itu lahir daripada minda Prajāpati Atri. Ia menjadi putera Atri, penopang utama bagi jangka hayat semua makhluk.
