Shloka 24

दशनागसहस्राणि हयानां द्विगुणं तथा । रथानामयुतं पूर्ण नियुतं च पदातिनाम्‌,परमतेजस्वी वृष्णिवंशशिरोमणि भगवान्‌ वासुदेव-के साथ दस हजार हाथी, उनसे दुगुने अर्थात्‌ बीस हजार घोड़े, दस हजार रथ और दस लाख पैदल सेना थी। इसके सिवा वृष्णि, अन्धक तथा भोजवंश-के और भी बहुत-से महापराक्रमी वीर उनके साथ पधारे थे

vaiśampāyana uvāca |

daśa nāga-sahasrāṇi hayānāṃ dviguṇaṃ tathā |

rathānām ayutaṃ pūrṇaṃ niyutaṃ ca padātinām ||

Vaiśampāyana berkata: Bersama Vāsudeva—yang paling bercahaya, permata mahkota keturunan Vṛṣṇi—datang sepuluh ribu gajah, kuda dua kali ganda jumlah itu, genap sepuluh ribu kereta perang, dan satu niyuta askar berjalan kaki. Bersamanya juga hadir ramai lagi wira perkasa daripada kaum Vṛṣṇi, Andhaka, dan Bhoja.
