अयं कुरूणामृषभो धर्मराजो युधिष्ठिर: । अस्य कीर्ति: स्थिता लोके सूर्यस्येवोद्यत: प्रभा,ये ही कुरुवंशमें सर्वश्रेष्ठ धर्मराज युधिष्ठिर हैं। उदयकालके सूर्यकी शान्त प्रभाके समान इनकी सुख-दायिनी कीर्ति समस्त संसारमें फैली हुई है
ayaṁ kurūṇām ṛṣabho dharmarājo yudhiṣṭhiraḥ | asya kīrtiḥ sthitā loke sūryasyevodyataḥ prabhā ||
Arjuna berkata: “Inilah Yudhiṣṭhira, raja yang berpegang pada dharma—yang terunggul dalam keturunan Kuru. Kemasyhuran baiknya teguh di dunia, lembut dan membawa berkat seperti sinar tenang matahari yang baru terbit.”
अर्जुन उवाच
True kingship is grounded in dharma: a ruler’s lasting ‘kīrti’ (good fame) arises from righteousness and becomes a quiet, life-giving influence—likened here to the gentle light of the rising sun.
Arjuna identifies Yudhiṣṭhira and publicly extols him as the foremost Kuru and ‘Dharmarāja,’ emphasizing that his reputation for righteousness is already firmly established throughout the world.
