Kṛpa’s Counsel and a Discourse on Statecraft

The verse links the moral quality of society to the presence and leadership of dhārmic rulers: where the Pāṇḍavas are associated with a land, the populace becomes harmonious—marked by goodwill, contentment, purity, and freedom from corrupting tendencies.
Vaiśampāyana is describing the expected characteristics of a region connected with the Pāṇḍavas, portraying it as a place where the people’s disposition and conduct become notably virtuous and stable.
