Vaiśampāyana berkata: Wahai Raja, dengan pohon ini sebagai senjata, Bhīma yang perkasa—putera Dewa Angin—melihat mereka melarikan diri lalu menumpaskan seratus lima orang Upakīcaka, menghantar mereka ke kediaman Yama, sebagaimana Indra pemegang vajra membinasakan kaum Dānava.

Educational Q&A

Adharma invites swift consequences: when wrongdoing threatens others, righteous strength may act decisively to restore moral order, and the narrative frames such action as just retribution rather than mere cruelty.

After seeing the Upakīcakas flee, Bhīma—described as the Wind-god’s son—uses a tree as a weapon and kills one hundred and five of them, likened to Indra’s thunderbolt-slaying of the Dānavas, thereby sending them to Yama’s realm.
