Udīcī-diśi Tīrtha-kīrtana

Northern Sacred Places Enumeration

प्रवेण्युत्तरमार्गे तु पुण्ये कण्वाश्रमे तथा । तापसानामरण्यानि कीर्तितानि यथाश्रुति,यह स्तम्भ प्रवेणी नदीके उत्तरवर्ती मार्गमें कण्वके पुण्यमय आश्रममें है। इस प्रकार जैसा कि मैंने सुन रखा था, तपस्वी महात्माओंके निवासयोग्य वनोंका वर्णन किया है

praveṇy-uttaramārge tu puṇye kaṇvāśrame tathā | tāpasānām araṇyāni kīrtitāni yathāśruti ||

Dhaumya berkata: “Di laluan utara sungai Praveṇī, di pertapaan suci Kaṇva juga, aku telah menghuraikan—sebagaimana yang kudengar menurut tradisi—rimba-rimba pertapaan yang layak didiami para tapa.”
