Damayantī’s Lament, Serpent-Seizure, Rescue by the Hunter, and the Curse
तैः समेत्य विनिश्चित्य सो<नुज्ञातो महीपते । ययौ मिथुनमारोप्य विदर्भास्तेन वाहिना,राजन्! उनसे मिलकर इस विषयपर भलीभाँति विचार करके उन मन्त्रियोंकी आज्ञा ले सारथि वार्ष्णेयने दोनों बालकोंको रथपर बैठाकर विदर्भ देशको प्रस्थान किया
taiḥ sametya viniścitya so 'nujñāto mahīpate | yayau mithunam āropya vidarbhās tena vāhinā ||
Wahai raja, setelah bertemu dengan mereka dan menimbang perkara itu dengan teliti, dia memperoleh persetujuan mereka. Lalu sais Vārṣṇeya menaikkan kedua-dua anak itu ke atas kereta dan berangkat dengan kenderaan itu menuju ke negeri Vidarbha—bertindak menurut izin dan nasihat yang bijaksana, bukan dengan paksaan yang tergesa-gesa.
