सखायं प्रददौ चास्य चित्रसेनं पुरन्दर: । स तेन सह संगम्य रेमे पार्थो निरामय:,पुरन्दरने अर्जुनको संगीतकी शिक्षा देनेके लिये उन्हींके मित्र चित्रसेनको नियुक्त कर दिया। मित्रसे मिलकर दुःख-शोकसे रहित अर्जुन बड़े प्रसन्न हुए
sakhāyaṃ pradadau cāsya citrasenaṃ purandaraḥ | sa tena saha saṅgamya reme pārtho nirāmayaḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana berkata: Indra (Purandara) melantik sahabatnya sendiri, Citraseṇa, sebagai teman dan pembimbing Arjuna. Setelah bertemu dan bersama dengannya, Pārtha hidup dengan gembira, bebas daripada dukacita dan penderitaan.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights the ethical value of supportive companionship and rightful guidance: when a worthy mentor or ally is provided (here by Indra), the seeker’s mind becomes steady and free from distress, enabling disciplined preparation without being consumed by grief.
Indra assigns his friend Citraseṇa to accompany Arjuna. After meeting him, Arjuna lives happily and untroubled, indicating a phase of protected training and upliftment through association with a capable divine ally.
