Śiva Grants the Pāśupata Astra (Pāśupata-Śastra Upadeśa) | शिवेन पाशुपतास्त्रदानम्
एभिस्तदा मया वीर संग्रामे तारकामये । दैतेयानां सहस्नाणि संयतानि महात्मनाम्,“वीर! मैंने इन पाशोंद्वारा तारकामय संग्राममें सहस्रों महाकाय दैत्योंको बाँध लिया था
ebhis tadā mayā vīra saṅgrāme tārakāmaye | daiteyānāṃ sahasrāṇi saṃyatāni mahātmanām ||
Vaiśampāyana berkata: “Wahai wira, dalam pertempuran yang menakjubkan bak bertabur bintang itu, dengan ikatan inilah aku pernah mengekang ribuan Daitya—berjiwa besar dan berkekuatan dahsyat.”
