धर्मोड्हमिति भद्र ते जिज्ञासुस्त्वामिहागत: । आनुृशंस्येन तुष्टोडस्मि वरं दास्यामि तेडनघ,तुम्हारा मंगल हो। मैं धर्म हूँ और तुम्हारा व्यवहार जाननेकी इच्छासे ही यहाँ आया हूँ। निष्पाप राजन! तुम्हारी दयालुता और समदर्शितासे मैं तुमपर प्रसन्न हूँ और तुम्हें वर देना चाहता हूँ
yakṣa uvāca | dharmoḍham iti bhadra te jijñāsus tvām ihāgataḥ | ānṛśaṁsyena tuṣṭo ’smi varaṁ dāsyāmi te ’nagha ||
Yakṣa berkata: “Berkat ke atasmu. Akulah Dharma, dan aku datang ke sini untuk menguji serta memahami tingkah lakumu. Wahai raja yang tidak berdosa, aku berkenan dengan belas kasihanmu dan pandanganmu yang saksama terhadap semua; maka aku ingin mengurniakan kepadamu suatu anugerah.”
