पुपोष चैनं विधिवद् ववृधे स च वीर्यवान् । ततः प्रभृति चाप्यन्ये प्राभवन्नौरसा: सुता:,उसने विधिपूर्वक उस बालकका पालन-पोषण किया और वह धीरे-धीरे सबल होकर दिनोदिन बढ़ने लगा। तभीसे उस सूत-दम्पतिके और भी अनेक औरस पुत्र उत्पन्न हुए
pupoṣa cainaṃ vidhivad vavṛdhe sa ca vīryavān | tataḥ prabhṛti cāpyanye prābhavann aurasāḥ sutāḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana berkata: Wanita itu membesarkan anak tersebut menurut tata cara dan upacara yang wajar, dengan penjagaan yang rapi; maka anak itu pun membesar beransur-ansur, menjadi gagah dan bertenaga. Sejak waktu itu, pasangan kusir kereta itu juga memperanakkan banyak lagi putera sah yang lain.
