Duryodhana Seized by Citraseṇa; Kaurava Petition to Yudhiṣṭhira (दुर्योधनापहारः / चित्रसेनगन्धर्वग्रहणम्)
Inner discipline—gathered senses, self-control, purity, constant alertness, and faith in dharma—creates a moral and spiritual protection such that harmful planetary influences are said to have no hold.
In Mārkaṇḍeya’s instruction, he explains the conditions under which grahas (planetary afflictions) do or do not trouble a person, emphasizing ethical conduct and steadfast faith as the decisive factors.
