Skanda–Mātṛgaṇa-janma: Kumārakāḥ, Kanyāgaṇāḥ, and the Vīrāṣṭaka (स्कन्द-मातृगण-सम्भवः)

अथाप्युपायं पश्येत दुःखस्य परिमोक्षणे | अशोचचन्नारभेतैवं मुक्तश्नाव्यसनी भवेत्‌,अतः दुःखसे छूटनेके उपायको अवश्य देखे। शोक और विषादमें न पड़कर आवश्यक कार्य आरम्भ कर दे। इस प्रकार प्रयत्न करनेसे मनुष्य निश्चय ही दुःखसे छूट जाता है और फिर किसी संकट या व्यसनमें नहीं फँसता

athāpy upāyaṃ paśyet duḥkhasya parimokṣaṇe | aśocac chann ārabhetaivaṃ muktaś cāvyasanī bhavet ||

Oleh itu, hendaklah seseorang mencari jalan yang praktikal untuk terlepas daripada penderitaan. Tanpa tenggelam dalam dukacita atau putus asa, hendaklah ia memulakan apa yang wajib dilakukan. Dengan usaha demikian, seseorang pasti bebas daripada kesedihan dan tidak lagi terjerumus ke dalam bencana atau keburukan.
