अग्निवंशवर्णनम् (Agni-vaṃśa-varṇana) / The Genealogy and Function of Agni
तत्र तत्र हि दृश्यन्ते धातवः पाउचभौतिका: । यैरावृतमिदं सर्व जगत् स्थावरजड्रमम्,विभिन्न शरीरोंमें जितने रक्त आदि धातु दिखायी देते हैं, वे सब पाँच भूतोंके ही परिणाम हैं, जिनसे यह समस्त चराचर जगत् व्याप्त है
tatra tatra hi dṛśyante dhātavaḥ pañcabhautikāḥ | yair āvṛtam idaṃ sarvaṃ jagat sthāvarajaṅgamam ||
“Di mana-mana, dalam setiap tubuh, dapat dilihat unsur-unsur jasmani (dhātu) yang terbit daripada lima unsur agung. Oleh hasil unsur-unsur itulah seluruh jagat—yang tidak bergerak dan yang bergerak—dipenuhi dan diliputi.”
