Agni’s Withdrawal to the Forest and Identification with Āṅgirasa (अग्न्याङ्गिरस-इतिहासः)
अविशेषेण तस्याहं कुर्या धर्म द्विजोत्तम | शुश्रूषाया: फल पश्य पत्युब्राह्मिण यादृशम्,द्विजश्रेष्ठ! मैं साधारणरूपसे ही पतिसेवारूप धर्मका पालन करती हूँ। ब्राह्मणदेवता! इस पतिसेवाका जैसा फल है, उसे प्रत्यक्ष देख लो
aviśeṣeṇa tasyāhaṃ kuryā dharmaṃ dvijottama | śuśrūṣāyāḥ phalaṃ paśya patyur brāhmiṇyā yādṛśam ||
Wanita Brahmin itu berkata: “Wahai yang terbaik antara kaum dwija, aku menunaikan dharmaku dengan cara yang sederhana, tanpa menunjuk-nunjuk—yakni melalui khidmat kepada suamiku. Wahai Brahmin yang mulia, lihatlah dengan mata sendiri apakah buah yang terhasil daripada pengabdian setia kepada suami itu.”
