Guṇa-vibhāga and Prāṇa–Agni–Yoga Upadeśa (गुणविभाग तथा प्राण-अग्नि-योगोपदेश)
अवध्यो दैवतानां हि दैत्यानामथ रक्षसाम्,राजन! वह सम्पूर्ण लोकोंके पितामह ब्रह्माजीसे वर पाकर देवताओं, दैत्यों, राक्षसों, नागों, यक्षों और समस्त गन्धर्वोके लिये अवध्य हो गया है
avadhyo daivatānāṃ hi daityānām atha rakṣasām, rājan! saḥ samasta-lokānāṃ pitāmaha-brahmaṇā varaṃ prāpya devatābhyaḥ daityebhyaḥ rakṣobhyāḥ nāgebhyaḥ yakṣebhyaḥ sarvebhyaś ca gandharvebhyaḥ avadhyaḥ saṃvṛttaḥ.
Uttanka berkata: “Wahai Raja, dia telah menjadi kebal terhadap para dewa, kaum Daitya, dan para Rakshasa. Setelah memperoleh anugerah daripada Brahmā—datuk segala alam—kini dia tidak dapat dibunuh oleh para dewa, Daitya, Rakshasa, juga oleh Nāga, Yakṣa, dan seluruh Gandharva.”
उत्तड़क उवाच
The verse highlights how boons and divine favors can create extraordinary power (invulnerability), raising a dharmic tension: when someone becomes unassailable to many classes of beings, restoring moral order may require exceptional means beyond ordinary force.
Uttanka informs the king that a certain figure has secured a boon from Brahmā and thus cannot be killed by gods, demons, serpent-beings, yakṣas, or gandharvas—establishing the obstacle that shapes the ensuing conflict and strategy.
