Kailāsa-darśana, Badarī-vāsa, and Sarasvatī–Dvaitavana Transition (कैलासदर्शन–बदरीवास–सरस्वतीद्वैतवनगमनम्)
नाशबवनुवं॑ पीडयितु ते तु मां प्रत्यपीडयन् उस युद्धमें दिव्यास्त्रों द्वारा अभिमन्त्रित बाणोंकी वर्षा करके भी मैं उन्हें पीड़ित न कर सका; परंतु वे मुझे बहुत पीड़ा देने लगे
na śaknomy ahaṁ pīḍayituṁ te tu māṁ pratyapīḍayan | tasmin yuddhe divyāstrair abhimantritāṇāṁ bāṇānāṁ varṣaṁ kṛtvāpi na tān pīḍayituṁ śaknomi; te tu māṁ bahu pīḍayanti ||
Arjuna berkata: “Aku tidak mampu menyakiti mereka. Dalam pertempuran itu, walaupun aku menurunkan hujan anak panah yang diperkasa oleh senjata-senjata ilahi dan disucikan dengan mantra, aku tetap tidak dapat menundukkan mereka; sebaliknya, merekalah yang mula menyeksa aku dengan hebat.”
अजुन उवाच
Even extraordinary power—divine weapons and mantra-consecrated arrows—does not guarantee success; the passage highlights humility before circumstance and the need to reassess strategy and dharmic purpose when force alone fails.
Arjuna reports that in a particular battle he tried to overwhelm his opponents with volleys of mantra-empowered arrows using divine astras, yet he could not subdue them; instead, they counterattacked effectively and caused him great distress.
