Vaiśaṃpāyana–Janamejaya Narrative
मुष्टिभिश्व महाघोरैरन्योन्यमभिजचध्नतु: । तत: कटकटाशब्दो बभूव सुमहात्मनो:,अपने अत्यन्त भयानक मुक्कोंद्वारा वे परस्पर चोट करने लगे। तब उन दोनों महाकाय वीरोंमें जोर-जोरसे कटकटानेकी आवाज होने लगी
muṣṭibhiś ca mahāghorair anyonyam abhijaghnatuḥ | tataḥ kaṭakaṭāśabdo babhūva sumahātmanoḥ ||
Vaiśaṃpāyana berkata: Dengan tumbukan yang amat menggerunkan, mereka saling memukul berulang kali. Lalu daripada dua wira bertubuh besar dan berjiwa agung itu timbul bunyi ketak-ketak yang kuat—seperti bunyi hentaman keras yang bergesel—menandakan keganasan dan keamatan pertempuran yang tidak mengenal reda.
