Kirmīra-rākṣasa-saṃgamaḥ (Encounter and Slaying of Kirmīra) | किर्मीरेण सह भीमसेनसमागमः
साध्यानामपि देवानां शिवानामीश्ररेश्वर | भूतभावन भूतेश यथा त्वां नारदोउब्रवीत्,भूतभावन भूतेश्वरर आप साध्य देवताओं तथा कल्याणकारी रुद्रोंके अधीश्वर हैं। नारदजीने आपके विषयमें यही विचार प्रकट किया है
vaiśampāyana uvāca | sādhyanām api devānāṃ śivānām īśvareśvara | bhūtabhāvana bhūteśa yathā tvāṃ nārado 'bravīt ||
Vaiśampāyana berkata: “Wahai Tuhan tertinggi segala tuhan—penguasa atas para Sādhya di kalangan dewa dan atas Rudra-Rudra yang membawa kesejahteraan—wahai pemelihara segala makhluk, wahai Tuhan segala makhluk: demikianlah Nārada berkata tentang-Mu.”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse teaches reverent recognition of the supreme divine lordship of Śiva—portrayed as ruler over divine classes and as sustainer of all beings—supported by the trustworthy testimony of the sage Nārada.
The narrator Vaiśampāyana reports a characterization of Śiva, echoing what Nārada previously declared: that Śiva is the highest lord, sovereign over celestial beings and the divine Rudras, and the protector and governor of all living beings.
