Akṛtavraṇa’s Account Begins: Gādhi–Satyavatī–Ṛcīka and the Bhārgava Lineage Prelude
चरुद्धयमिदं भद्ठे जनन्याश्व॒ तवैव च । विश्वमावर्तयित्वा तु मया यत्नेन साधितम्,भद्रे! मैंने विराट् पुरुष परमात्माका चिन्तन करके तुम्हारे और तुम्हारी माताके लिये यत्नपूर्वक दो चरु तैयार किये हैं
carur idam bhadre jananyāś ca tavaiva ca | viśvam āvartayitvā tu mayā yatnena sādhitam ||
Akṛtavraṇa berkata: “Wahai wanita mulia, bubur suci (caru) ini telah aku sediakan dengan usaha yang teliti untukmu dan untuk ibumu juga. Dengan menumpukan fikiran kepada Tuhan Yang Meliputi Segala (Virāṭ Puruṣa), aku telah menyempurnakannya melalui ikhtiar yang berdisiplin.”
अकृतव्रण उवाच
The verse highlights that ethical and beneficial outcomes—especially those meant to bless or protect others—should be pursued through disciplined effort (yatna) grounded in reverent contemplation of the Supreme (viśva/Virāṭ Puruṣa). Ritual action is presented as meaningful when joined with inner focus and intention.
Akṛtavraṇa addresses a woman respectfully (“bhadre”) and presents consecrated caru prepared for her and her mother. He emphasizes that he prepared it with careful effort after focusing his mind on the all-pervading divine principle, indicating the caru’s sanctity and intended beneficent effect.
