ततः शिलां समुत्क्षिप्प भीमस्य युधि तिष्ठत: । प्राहिणोद् राक्षस: क्रुद्धो भीमश्ष न चचाल ह,तदनन्तर राक्षसने कुपित हो एक पत्थरकी चट्टान लेकर युद्धमें खड़े हुए भीमसेनपर चलायी। भीम उसके प्रहारसे जडवत् हो गये
tataḥ śilāṃ samutkṣipya bhīmasya yudhi tiṣṭhataḥ | prāhiṇod rākṣasaḥ kruddho bhīmaś ca na cacāla ha ||
Lalu Rākṣasa yang murka mengangkat sebongkah batu besar dan melontarkannya ke arah Bhīma yang teguh berdiri di medan perang. Namun Bhīma tidak berganjak—tetap tidak tergoyahkan di hadapan hentaman yang ganas, memperlihatkan ketabahan seorang wira di tengah bahaya.
