कण्वोपदेशः—नश्वरबलविवेकः तथा मातलिगुणकेश्याः आख्यानारम्भः

Kaṇva’s Counsel on Impermanent Power; Opening of the Mātali–Guṇakeśī Narrative

निर्माता सर्वलोकानामीश्रवर: सर्वकर्मवित्‌ | यस्य नारायणो बन्धुरजुनो दुःसहो युधि,राजन! सम्पूर्ण लोकोंका निर्माण करनेवाले ईश्वर एवं सब कर्मोके ज्ञाता नारायण जिनके बन्धु (सहायक) हैं, वे नरस्वरूप अर्जुन युद्धमें दुःसह हैं (क्योंकि उन्हें उपर्युक्त सभी अस्त्रोंका अच्छा ज्ञान है)

nirmātā sarvalokānām īśvaraḥ sarvakarmavit | yasya nārāyaṇo bandhur arjuno duḥsaho yudhi rājān ||

Rāma berkata: “Wahai Raja, Arjuna—meskipun tampak dalam rupa manusia—tidak tertandingi di medan perang, kerana Nārāyaṇa, Tuhan yang mencipta segala alam dan mengetahui segala perbuatan, berdiri sebagai kerabat dan sekutunya.”
