ततो<भ्याशगते कृष्णे समहृष्यन् नराधिपा: । श्रुत्वा तं रथनिर्घोषं पर्जन्यनिनदोपमम्
tato 'bhyāśagate kṛṣṇe samahṛṣyan narādhipāḥ | śrutvā taṁ rathanirghoṣaṁ parjanyaninadopamam ||
Kemudian, ketika Kṛṣṇa semakin mendekat, para raja pun dipenuhi kegembiraan. Mendengar deru keretanya yang menggelegar—laksana guruh awan hujan—mereka menyambutnya dengan debaran harap, merasakan ketibaan suatu kehadiran yang menentukan dan membimbing menurut dharma di tengah krisis yang kian memuncak.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights how righteous leadership and dharma-oriented counsel inspire confidence: Kṛṣṇa’s very arrival is felt as a powerful, stabilizing force, suggesting that in times of conflict, wise guidance and moral authority can rally rulers toward right action.
As Kṛṣṇa approaches, the assembled kings hear the booming sound of his chariot, likened to thunder. The dramatic auditory image signals his imminent presence, and the kings collectively rejoice, anticipating the impact of his words and decisions in the unfolding political crisis.
