Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Reception Plan for Janārdana (Kṛṣṇa): Gifts, Procession, and Protocol
उपायास्यति दाशार्ह: पाण्डवार्थे पराक्रमी । स नो मान्यश्नव पूज्यश्व सर्वथा मधुसूदन:
upayāsyati dāśārhaḥ pāṇḍavārthe parākramaḥ | sa no mānyaś ca pūjyaś ca sarvathā madhusūdanaḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana berkata: “Dāśārha yang perkasa (Kṛṣṇa) akan segera tiba di sini bagi pihak Pāṇḍava. Madhusūdana itu layak menerima penghormatan kita dan, dalam segala hal, patut disembah dengan penuh takzim.”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Even amid impending conflict, dharmic conduct begins with recognizing true worth: honoring the righteous mediator (Kṛṣṇa) and treating him as universally worthy of respect and reverence, regardless of factional interests.
Vaiśampāyana announces that Kṛṣṇa, famed for valor and known as Dāśārha/Madhusūdana, is about to arrive representing the Pāṇḍavas’ cause—framing his coming as significant and calling for proper honor from those present.
