“महाराज युधिष्ठिरकी आज्ञा तथा विधाताके रचे हुए अदृष्टसे प्रेरित हो भीम, अर्जुन, नकुल और सहदेवको साथ लेकर मैं भी वही करूँगा, जो तुम्हें अभीष्ट है ।।
dhārtarāṣṭrāḥ kālapakvā na cec chṛṇvanti me vacaḥ | śeṣyante nihatā bhūmau śvaśṛgālādanīkṛtāḥ ||
Vaiśaṃpāyana berkata: “Jika putera-putera Dhṛtarāṣṭra—yang telah masak untuk kebinasaan oleh Waktu—tidak mengindahkan kata-kataku, mereka akan ditumpaskan dan dibiarkan di bumi, menjadi santapan anjing dan serigala hutan.”
