Udyoga Parva Adhyāya 58 — Saṃjaya’s Audience and Kṛṣṇa’s Deterrent Counsel (संजय-प्रवेशः कृष्णवाक्यं च)

यत्‌ तद्‌ विराटनगरे श्रूयते महदद्भुतम्‌ | एकस्य च बहूनां च पर्याप्तं तन्निदर्शनम्‌,“विराटनगरमें अकेले अर्जुन और बहुत-से कौरवोंका जो अद्भुत और महान संग्राम सुना जाता है, वही मेरे उपर्युक्त कथनकी सत्यताका पर्याप्त प्रमाण है

yat tad virāṭanagare śrūyate mahadadbhutam | ekasya ca bahūnāṁ ca paryāptaṁ tannidarśanam ||

“Perbuatan agung lagi menakjubkan yang didengar di kota Virāṭa—pertembungan seorang melawan ramai—itulah bukti yang mencukupi akan kebenaran kata-kataku tadi.”
