बृहस्पतिस्तु पप्रच्छ ब्रह्माणं काविमाविति । भवन्तं नोपतिछेते तौ न: शंस पितामह,यह देख बृहस्पतिजीने ब्रह्माजीसे पूछा--'पितामह! ये दोनों कौन हैं, जिन्होंने आपका अभिनन्दन भी नहीं किया। हमें इनका परिचय दीजिये”

Bṛhaspatistu papraccha Brahmāṇaṃ kāvimāv iti | bhavantaṃ nopatiṣṭhete tau naḥ śaṃsa pitāmaha ||

Vaiśampāyana berkata: Lalu Bṛhaspati bertanya kepada Brahmā: “Wahai Pitāmaha, siapakah dua resi itu? Mereka bahkan tidak bangkit untuk memberi hormat yang sewajarnya kepada tuanku. Beritahulah kami siapa mereka.”
