वास: कृच्छो विहितश्चाप्यरण्ये दीर्घ कालं चैकमज्ञातवर्षम् | ते हि कस्माज्जीवतां पाण्डवानां नन्दिष्यन्ते धार्तराष्ट्रा: पदस्था:
vāsaḥ kṛcchro vihitaś cāpy araṇye dīrgha-kālaṁ caikam ajñāta-varṣam | te hi kasmāj jīvatāṁ pāṇḍavānāṁ nandiṣyante dhārtarāṣṭrāḥ padasthāḥ ||
Sanjaya berkata: “Kehidupan yang keras di rimba telah dikenakan ke atas mereka, dan untuk waktu yang panjang; kemudian datang pula setahun hidup dalam penyamaran. Selagi para Pandava masih hidup, bagaimana mungkin putera-putera Dhritarashtra, tetap aman pada kedudukan mereka, terus bersuka-ria?”
