कर्मणा मनसा वाचा यदभीक्ष्णं निषेवते | तदेवापहरत्येनं तस्मात्‌ कल्याणमाचरेत्‌,मनुष्य मन, वाणी और कर्मसे जिसका निरन्तर सेवन करता है, वह कार्य उस पुरुषको अपनी ओर खींच लेता है। इसलिये सदा कल्याणकारी कार्योंको ही करे

karmaṇā manasā vācā yad abhīkṣṇaṁ niṣevate | tad evāpaharaty enaṁ tasmāt kalyāṇam ācaret ||

Vidura mengajar bahawa apa sahaja yang seseorang tekun pupuk berulang-ulang—melalui perbuatan, fikiran, dan kata-kata—akan mula menarik dan mengheret dirinya ke arah yang sama. Maka, hendaklah sentiasa mengamalkan perkara yang baik dan bermanfaat, agar tabiat dan watak tertarik kepada kebaikan, bukan kepada kebinasaan.
