Udyoga-parva Adhyāya 30: Sañjaya’s Departure and Yudhiṣṭhira’s Commission of Greetings
'शत्रुदमन नरेश! जब वे बालक थे, तब आपकी ही कृपासे उन्हें राज्य मिला था। पहले उन्हें राज्यपर बिठाकर अब अपने ही आगे उन्हें नष्ट होते देख उपेक्षा न कीजिये” ।।
sarvam apy etad ekasya nālaṃ saṃjaya kasyacit | tāta saṃhatya jīvāmo dviṣatāṃ mā vaśaṃ gamaḥ ||
“Wahai penunduk musuh, wahai Raja! Ketika mereka masih kanak-kanak, dengan kurnia tuanku jugalah mereka memperoleh kerajaan. Setelah terlebih dahulu mendudukkan mereka di takhta, janganlah tuanku berdiam diri melihat mereka binasa di hadapan tuanku.” Dan, wahai Sañjaya, katakan juga: “Wahai ayahanda, seluruh kerajaan ini bukanlah untuk mencukupi seorang sahaja. Marilah kita hidup bersatu dan menanggung hidup dengan damai; jangan bertindak sebaliknya hingga jatuh ke bawah kuasa musuh.”
