यक्ष उवाच शप्तो वैश्रवणेनाहं त्वत्कृते पार्थिवात्मज । गच्छेदानीं यथाकामं चर लोकान्‌ यथासुखम्‌,यक्षने कहा--राजकुमार! तुम्हारे लिये ही यक्षराजने मुझे शाप दे दिया है; अत: अब जाओ, इच्छानुसार सारे जगतमें सुखपूर्वक विचरो

yakṣa uvāca śapto vaiśravaṇenāhaṁ tvatkṛte pārthivātmaja | gacchedānīṁ yathākāmaṁ cara lokān yathāsukham ||

Yakṣa itu berkata: “Wahai putera raja, kerana engkaulah Vaiśravaṇa (Kubera) telah menyumpah aku. Maka sekarang pergilah menurut kehendakmu; jelajahilah segala alam dengan sekehendak hati, dan hiduplah dalam kesenangan.”
