केकयाश्ष नरव्याप्रा: सोदर्या: पठ्च पार्थिवा:

Vaiśaṃpāyana berkata: Dan lima saudara raja dari Kekaya—lelaki yang giat berusaha dan bersemangat—turut berhimpun, sebagai saudara seibu. Baris ini menonjolkan kesatuan pertalian darah dan kesiapsiagaan bertindak, suatu motif etika yang berulang dalam Udyoga Parva, ketika pakatan dibina melalui ikatan keturunan dan tekad bersama.
वैशमग्पायन उवाच
