Ambā’s Vow of Tapas after Paraśurāma’s Assessment (अम्बाया तपोव्रतनिश्चयः)

ख्यापयामास राजेन्द्र पुत्रो होष ममेति वै । राजेन्द्र! तब पुत्रहीन राजा ट्रुपदकी मनस्विनी रानीने यह घोषणा करा दी कि यह मेरा पुत्र है

khyāpayāmāsa rājendra putro hoṣa mameti vai | rājendra! tadā putrahīno rājā drupadasya manasvinī rājñīneyaṃ ghoṣaṇāṃ kṛtavatī—"eṣa mama putraḥ" iti |

Bhishma berkata: “Wahai raja, baginda permaisuri telah menghebahkan, ‘Inilah anak lelakiku.’ Wahai raja yang utama, pada ketika itu, kerana Raja Drupada tidak mempunyai putera, permaisuri yang teguh tekadnya mengumumkan di hadapan khalayak, ‘Inilah anak lelakiku,’ demi menetapkan seorang pewaris dan memelihara kesinambungan takhta.”
