अम्बाया रामजामदग्न्यशरणगमनम्
Ambā Seeks Refuge with Rāma Jāmadagnya
ततो राम: प्रादुरासीत् प्रज्वलन्निव तेजसा । शिष्यै: परिवृतो राजन् जटाचीरधरो मुनि:,राजन! तदनन्तर अपने शिष्योंसे घिरे हुए जटावल्कलधारी मुनिवर परशुरामजी वहाँ प्रकट हुए। वे अपने तेजके कारण प्रज्वलित-से हो रहे थे
tato rāmaḥ prādurāsīt prajvalann iva tejasā | śiṣyaiḥ parivṛto rājan jaṭācīradharo muniḥ ||
Kemudian Paraśurāma pun menampakkan diri, menyala seakan-akan api oleh sinar tapa rohaninya sendiri. Wahai Raja, sang resi—berambut gimbal dan berpakaian kulit kayu—tiba di sana dikelilingi para muridnya.
भीष्म उवाच
The verse highlights the moral and spiritual authority of tapas: true power is not only martial but also ascetic and ethical. Paraśurāma’s blazing tejas and austere marks (jaṭā, cīra) signify disciplined restraint and a higher legitimacy that can confront worldly power.
Bhīṣma describes the dramatic arrival of Paraśurāma, attended by his disciples. His radiant, fiery presence sets a solemn tone, indicating that a major confrontation or decisive intervention involving a revered sage-warrior is about to unfold.
