श्वोभूते कत्थनावाक्यं विज्ञास्यति सुयोधन: । आचितं शरजालेन मया दृष्टवा पितामहम्,“कल खबेरे पितामहको मेरे द्वारा चलाये हुए बाणोंके समूहसे व्याप्त देखकर दुर्योधनको अपनी बढ़-बढ़कर कही हुई बातोंका परिणाम ज्ञात होगा
sañjaya uvāca | śvobhūte katthanāvākyaṃ vijñāsyati suyodhanaḥ | ācitaṃ śarajālena mayā dṛṣṭvā pitāmaham |
Sañjaya berkata: “Esok Suyodhana akan mengerti akibat kata-kata bongkaknya, apabila dia melihat datuk agung itu diselubungi jaring anak panah yang kulepaskan.”
संजय उवाच

Sanjaya foretells that Duryodhana will realize the result of his bravado when he sees Bhīṣma, the grandsire, overwhelmed by a dense shower of arrows shot by Sanjaya—an image of impending battlefield reality replacing arrogant confidence.
