yaccāpi bhīmasenasya manyase moghabhāṣitam | duḥśāsanasya rudhiraṃ pītam adyāvadhāraya ||

श्रीकृष्ण उवाच
Words spoken as solemn vows in response to wrongdoing are not to be dismissed as mere bravado; in the Mahābhārata’s ethical world, such commitments bind the speaker and shape the moral momentum toward inevitable consequences.
Kṛṣṇa rebukes the listener for treating Bhīma’s earlier declaration as empty talk and insists that it has been (or will be) fulfilled—Bhīma drinking Duḥśāsana’s blood—thereby emphasizing the certainty of retribution tied to the Kauravas’ offenses.
