Ulūka’s Provocation and Keśava’s Counter-Message (उलूकदूत्ये केशवप्रत्युत्तरम्)

यदेतत्‌ कत्थनावाक्यं संजयो महदब्रवीत्‌,यथा व: सम्प्रतिज्ञातं तत्‌ सर्व क्रियतामिति । “कुन्तीकुमार युधिष्ठिर! श्रीकृष्णकी सहायता पाकर भाइयोंसहित गर्जना करते हुए तुमने संजयसे जो आत्मश्लाघापूर्ण बातें कही थीं और जिन्हें संजयने कौरवोंकी सभामें बहुत बढ़ा-चढ़ाकर सुनाया था, उन सबको सत्य करके दिखानेका यह अवसर आ गया है। तुमलोगोंने जो-जो प्रतिज्ञाएँ की हैं, उन सबको पूर्ण करो'

yad etat katthanāvākyaṃ sañjayo mahad abravīt, yathā vaḥ sampratijñātaṃ tat sarvaṃ kriyatām iti |

Sañjaya berkata: “Inilah kata-kata megah yang aku, Sañjaya, telah umumkan dengan begitu besar—sebagaimana kamu semua telah berikrar—maka sekarang biarlah semuanya dilaksanakan. Sempurnakanlah segala janji yang telah kamu ucapkan.”
