कुरुक्षेत्रे सेनानिवेशवृत्तान्तः — Dhṛtarāṣṭra Questions Saṃjaya on the Deployed Armies
न चाहमुत्सहे कृष्णमृते लोकमुदीक्षितुम् | ततो5हमनुवर्तामि केशवस्य चिकीर्षितम्
na cāham utsahe kṛṣṇam ṛte lokam udīkṣitum | tato 'ham anuvartāmi keśavasya cikīrṣitam ||
Vaiśampāyana berkata: “Tanpa Kṛṣṇa, aku tidak punya hati bahkan untuk mengangkat mata memandang seluruh dunia ini. Maka aku mengikuti apa sahaja yang Keśava kehendaki.”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights steadfast dependence on Kṛṣṇa’s guidance: when one recognizes a higher, dharmic intelligence at work, one sets aside ego-driven initiative and aligns one’s actions with that righteous intention.
In the Udyoga Parva context of impending war and high-stakes diplomacy, the speaker expresses an inability to act independently of Kṛṣṇa and declares that he will follow Keśava’s intended course of action.
