pāñcajanyasya nirghoṣaṃ visphūrjitam ivāśaneḥ | niśamya sarvasainyāni samahṛṣyanta sarvaśaḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana berkata: Mendengar deru dalam sangkakala Pāñcajanya—bagaikan dentuman guruh kilat—setiap bahagian tentera di segenap penjuru dipenuhi kegembiraan. Bunyi itu meneguhkan azam mereka dan menyalakan keberanian bersama ketika saat penentu perang semakin mendekat.

As the conflict approaches, the booming sound of Pāñcajanya is heard like thunder; on hearing it, the assembled troops become thrilled and joyful, their morale rising across the battlefield.
