पराजयं धार्तराष्ट्रे विजयं च युधिष्ठिरे । शंसन्त इव वार्ष्णेय विविधा रोमहर्षणा:,वृष्णिनन्दन! वे रोंगटे खड़े कर देनेवाले विविध उत्पात मानो दुर्योधनकी पराजय और युधिष्ठिरकी विजय घोषित करते हैं

parājayaṃ dhārtarāṣṭre vijayaṃ ca yudhiṣṭhire | śaṃsanta iva vārṣṇeya vividhā romaharṣaṇāḥ ||

Sañjaya berkata: “Wahai Vārṣṇeya (keturunan Vṛṣṇi), pelbagai alamat yang membuat bulu roma berdiri ini seakan-akan mengisytiharkan kekalahan putera Dhṛtarāṣṭra dan kemenangan Yudhiṣṭhira.”
