कर्ण–कृष्णसंवादः (Karṇa–Kṛṣṇa-saṃvādaḥ) — Karṇa’s Statement on Lineage, Loyalty, and the ‘Śastra-yajña’ Metaphor

त्वमेव कर्ण जानासि वेदवादान्‌ सनातनान्‌ । त्वमेव धर्मशास्त्रेषु सूक्ष्मेषु परिनिष्ठित:,कर्ण! सनातन वैदिक सिद्धान्त क्‍या है? इसे तुम अच्छी तरह जानते हो। धर्मशास्त्रोंके सूक्ष्म विषयोंके भी तुम परिनिष्ठित विद्वान्‌ हो

tvam eva karṇa jānāsi vedavādān sanātanān | tvam eva dharmaśāstreṣu sūkṣmeṣu pariniṣṭhitaḥ, karṇa |

Vāyu berkata: “Engkau sahaja, wahai Karṇa, benar-benar mengetahui ajaran-ajaran kekal yang diwartakan dalam Veda. Engkau sahaja teguh sempurna dalam pengajaran halus Dharmaśāstra. Maka engkau berwibawa untuk menilai yang benar, sekalipun dharma menjadi rumit dan dipertikaikan.”
