Kuntī’s Message to Kṛṣṇa
The verse highlights the kṣatriya ideal: radiance and nobility joined with strength, steadfast resolve (dhṛti), and an unassailable character. Ethically, it praises disciplined power—victory grounded in firmness and honor rather than mere aggression.
In Udyoga Parva’s pre-war setting, the speaker (“the son”) offers a laudatory description of a warrior-hero, using a string of epithets to establish his stature as a great chariot-fighter—strong, resolute, and undefeated—thereby shaping how listeners should regard him in the unfolding conflict.
