Nahuṣa Abhiṣeka and the Crisis of Restraint (नहुषाभिषेकः—दमभ्रंशः)
तच्छुत्वा दुर्मना देवी बृहस्पतिमुवाच ह,यह सुनकर शचीदेवी मन-ही-मन बहुत दुःखी हुईं और बृहस्पतिसे बोलीं--'ब्रह्मन! मैं आपकी शरणमें आयी हूँ, आप नहुषसे मेरी रक्षा कीजिये। विप्रवर! आप मुझसे कहा करते हैं कि तुम समस्त शुभ लक्षणोंसे सम्पन्न, देवराज इन्द्रकी प्राणवल्लभा, अत्यन्त सुखभागिनी, सौभाग्यवती, एकपत्नी और पतिव्रता हो जब राजा नहुषने सुना कि इन्द्राणी अंगिराके पुत्र बृहस्पतिकी शरणमें गयी है, तब वे बहुत कुपित हुए ।। इति श्रीमहाभारते उद्योगपर्वणि सेनोद्योगपर्वणि इन्द्राणीभये एकादशो<5ध्याय: ।। ११ |। इस प्रकार श्रीमह़्ा भारत उद्योगपर्वके अन्तर्गत सेनोट्रोगपर्वमें इन्द्राणीभयविषयक ग्यारहवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ
tac chrutvā durmanā devī bṛhaspatim uvāca ha |
Mendengar hal itu, Dewi Śacī berdukacita dalam hati lalu berkata kepada Bṛhaspati: “Wahai Brahmana, aku datang berlindung kepadamu; lindungilah aku daripada Nahuṣa.”
