Shloka 73

प्रतिपर्वसमाप्तौ तु पुस्तकं वै विचक्षण: । सुवर्णेन च संयुक्त वाचकाय निवेदयेत्‌

pratiparvasamāptau tu pustakaṃ vai vicakṣaṇaḥ | suvarṇena ca saṃyuktaṃ vācakāya nivedayet, pṛthvīnātha |

Vaiśaṃpāyana berkata: “Pada akhir setiap parvan, seorang yang bijaksana hendaklah mempersembahkan kitab itu—berserta emas—kepada pembaca. Wahai tuan empunya bumi! Walaupun pendengar itu miskin, tetaplah wajib dilakukan godāna, yakni sedekah seekor lembu, bersama separuh dakṣiṇā yang lazim. Demikianlah, pada penghujung setiap parvan, orang berilmu hendaklah menyerahkan kitab itu secara rasmi, bersama emas, kepada yang membacakannya.”
