Svargārohaṇa-parva Adhyāya 5 — Karmaphala-Nirdeśa and Phalāśruti (कर्मफलनिर्देशः फलश्रुतिश्च)

मुनि: पुराण: कौरव्य पाराशर्यों महाव्रत: । अगाथबुद्धि: सर्वज्ञो गतिज्ञ: सर्वकर्मणाम्‌

muniḥ purāṇaḥ kauravya pārāśaryo mahāvrataḥ | agāthabuddhiḥ sarvajño gatijñaḥ sarvakarmaṇām ||

Vaiśampāyana berkata: “Wahai keturunan Kuru, resi purba Vyāsa, putera Parāśara—yang berikrar agung, berakal budi sedalam samudera, maha mengetahui, dan memahami haluan terakhir segala perbuatan—telah menyampaikan kepadaku demikian: setelah menikmati buah perbuatan mereka, semua wira itu pada akhirnya menyatu kembali ke dalam rupa asal mereka sendiri. Dan Bhīṣma, yang berteja besar dan bercahaya paling luhur, masuk kembali ke dalam keadaan para Vasu.”
