Paraśurāma’s origins and the depletion/restoration of kṣatriya lineages
स तथा<55शु महातेजा: कृत्वा निःक्षत्रियां महीम्
sa tathāśu mahātejāḥ kṛtvā niḥkṣatriyāṃ mahīm
Demikianlah, insan yang maha perkasa lagi bercahaya itu dengan segera menjadikan bumi ini tandus daripada golongan kṣatriya—suatu perbuatan yang menegaskan bahawa kuasa yang melampau, apabila digerakkan oleh sumpah atau amarah, mampu menggoncang tertib masyarakat dan menimbulkan persoalan berat tentang batas kendiri menurut dharma, walaupun dalam mengejar keadilan.
