जगत्स्रष्टमना देवो हरिनारायण: स्वयम्‌ | चिन्तयामास पुरुष॑ जगत्सर्गकरं प्रभुम्‌

jagat-sraṣṭa-manā devo hari-nārāyaṇaḥ svayam | cintayāmāsa puruṣaṁ jagat-sarga-karaṁ prabhum, sākṣāt bhagavān nārāyaṇaḥ |

Vaiśampāyana berkata: Dewa Hari–Nārāyaṇa sendiri, dengan kehendak untuk mencipta alam, merenung tentang Seorang Insan Agung—Purusha tertinggi, Tuhan yang serba mampu, yang dapat secara langsung menzahirkan pancaran kosmos. Petikan ini menegaskan bahawa penciptaan bukan kebetulan, melainkan tindakan berdaulat yang disengajakan, berasaskan kehendak dan keupayaan ilahi.
