Atithi-prāpti and the Brāhmaṇa’s Deliberation on Triadic Dharma (अतिथिप्राप्तिः धर्मत्रयविचारश्च)
अश्विभ्यां पतये चैव मरुतां पतये तथा । वेदयज्ञाधिपतये वेदाड़पतयेडपि च,वे अश्विनीकुमारोंक पति, मरुदगणोंके पालक, वेद और यज्ञोंके अधिपति तथा वेदांगोंके भी स्वामी हैं। उन्हें प्रणाम करो
aśvibhyāṃ pataye caiva marutāṃ pataye tathā | vedayajñādhipataye vedāṅgapataye 'pi ca ||
Vyāsa berkata: “Tunduklah dengan penuh hormat kepada-Nya—Tuan bagi Aśvin, Tuan bagi Marut, Penguasa atas Veda dan segala yajña, serta juga Pemilik Vedāṅga. Dengan demikian, hendaklah engkau memberi sembah.”
व्यास उवाच
The verse teaches reverence toward the supreme divine authority who presides over Vedic knowledge and sacrificial order; honoring that source is presented as a dharmic orientation toward sacred learning and right ritual.
Vyāsa is describing the object of salutation by listing divine domains—Aśvins, Maruts, Veda, yajña, and Vedāṅgas—thereby identifying a highest lord who governs these powers and disciplines and instructing that he should be honored.
